View Full Version : Foreign Currency Exchange
Anyone here know where I can get 500 Argentine Pesos exchanged for USD? A friend at school was on a vacation there and brought them back, and started hading them out ot everyone. I have 500, and my chorus teacher has over fifty thousand! Anyone have any ideas?

nice, 168 bucks & 16,800 bucks.
I'd imagine you could get them changed at a bank, or one of those currency exchange places by the Canada/US border.

this site might help too http://www.oanda.com/ they deal with currency from all over the place.....
There are probably banks in Philadelphia that'll handle a currency exchange.
If not, the International Airport almost certainly will.
Did your friend give your teacher 50,000? If so, I certainly hope they pass that class :)
Thing is, I've been told once that Argentina actually severed all ties between their currency and the American Dollar. Is this true?
This seems ever so slightly fake.... who is dumb enough to give away 16,000 dollars to their teacher?

That's what I thought, too. That's an awful lot of money.

Maybe the teacher has been collecting for a while.
He didn't say he gave his teacher 50,000.
The person who gave it to us was under the impression that it is worth almost nothing.
