Hey all..
Above are all the logos that were submitted in this thread (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20722). If you have any other ideas, feel free to continue to post them there.
However, what I am looking for here is to get these 15 narrowed down a bit.
If you could reply with your nomination of 2-3 that would be great.
In each post above, the format is in the following
Creator: #
PIC
Just use the #'s for your top pics.
Once again, there is no rush, I just want to narrow down these 15 so that once people like the choices, we can have a final vote.
Thanks,
Jack

Errr... the stuff in your second post is nice, as do 2, 13, 16, and 17. Can't... choose!

I'll go for 2, 12, and 14
IMDWalrus

I like 2, 4, and 14.
I'll go for 6, 12, and 13.
Also, I think it'd be really neat to combine 12 and 13--take the magnifying glass idea from Kyle Gilbert, and take the FIRST Scouting Network part from RogerR.

4 & 12
5 , 13 , 2 in that order. Would like to see the image under the magnifying glass slightly enlarged on #5. Great work everyone.
i would have to say 2, 4, 5, 12, 15 in no order, but those are my top 5.

13, 14.. and are 9 and 6 at all different?
I like those three the best... the sleekness of the long silver one (chrome)... and the simplistic way of 14 and 9
I'm going to have to say 4 and 10... 4 because it looks neat, and 10 because it is simple

I'm also going to nominate 2, 5, and 12 in no particular order.

5, 6, 12, 14 ... in numerical order! :D

They all have good qualities, but choosing 3:
being higher -> 10,9,13 <- being lower
And, comments on each
10: I'd still like it with a white background behind 'Scouting Network'
9: I love the whole concept, but I'm not sure how well it will work in tight spaces (letter head, webpage header, etc). Maybe the 'FSN' can be used in smaller areas, whereas the extended logo can be used in more presentation-type areas. [intro page, presentations, etc]
13: I like how clean & tech'y this one looks.

I've impressed the all mighty Mr. Martus, my life journy is complete. ;) :p
I dig 13, 14 & 12 from best to least favorite.
My objective when i designed mine was for it to be simple, therefore my top vote goes to #14 for this reason. because it has so few colors and no gradients, it will be easier to print and reproduce.
I liked #12 because the maginifier is relevant and memorable.
I like #9 because it has a noticable(sp?) and memorable shape.
In my opinion, it would be best if we were to make 2 graphics based on the same design. One, a vector graphic, would be used for real world "merchandise" (i.e. shirts, frisbees, etc.). The other would be a pixel graphic, used on the 'net, handhelds, etc.

Whoops.. :) You are right. I guess I must have copied something twice. The votes for #6 count for the #9 logo.

Are not 5 & 8 the same logo?
Clark Gilbert

Dont vote for 5 and 8, they are the same, but not good ;)
I should have made a better one, but I got caught up in making the IndianaFIRST logo and an IRI logo. :D
Sadly enough I like 12.
Modesty is good but when yours is the best we will vote for it!!!!

hmm.. any chance of narrowing this down soon? maybe we should narrow down to top 5 or so.. and have a re-vote of those? and give reasonings behind them? dunno... just hope one is decided on before June 6th.... I am taking a class... and I can print anything I want... so... tons of letterheads for me! to save for next season :D

How about selecting the top 5 nominations (as of, say, noon tomorrow), then voting on those for one week. At the end of the week, if there isn't one that secured a simple majority, there would be a run-off among the top two. Does this sound like a good plan? If so, I'll get Jack to set up the poll starting at noon tomorrow.
I vote 9, 10, and 14.
I think that idea sounds good, narrowing it down and creating an actual poll will make things easier.

Sounds good jeff...
I'll get the top five, and throw up a poll. I'll give it like 5-7 days voteing, and that's what it will be :)
They all look good.
Once again, I'm so gald everyone is getting so involved in this. I really do hope that FSN becomes what I hope it will.

ok, ok... so i've let up to about 6 slide. But an almost entire list really doesn't help to narrow anything down, and I'm not going to include it.
Thanks,
