So who's enjoying this bad midwest weather? It's sure made for a fun 4th of July weekend! :D Started with nice weather, then to straightline winds (near tornado), with trees, limbs, leaves, and powerlines down all over the place. Then to top it off RAIN! :) and lots of it. When I woke up at 8:45am today to go to work the news said 9.5 inches here in Kokomo and I hear it's supposed to rain for the next few days. To top off the rain we get flooding everywhere. Last night my brother and a friend got 2 cars stuck in water in a neighborhood. One of them was an SUV w/ 4x4. Oh well, it's sure been fun and work called and I don't have to work today...
So how's the weather everywhere else?

Haha - we didn't get anything near that rain. We got some winds and a little rain.
Betcha' that the SUV that got stuck wasn't a Jeep! :D

Yeah I tried to go to work today, but the creek at the exit to my neighborhood overtook the road and was more of a raging river rapid....I saw a Dodge Caravan float down that raging river :p
Also, our main park which is a few feet under sea level has been completely overtaken by water....no way im going out to take a pic, but it is an incredible sight
So I called work and they said dont worry about coming in today :D

No, but a Jeep Wrangler that is lifted pretty high atleast 4ft from the ground to the bottom of the truck almost got stuck. He was coming to help my brother get unstuck and drove through water that came up to the bottom of his Jeep. He said the water was making his truck bounce up and down.....oh what a weekend it has been :D

We had some nice almost straight line winds here yesterday, and just after it passed my house, they issued the severe thunderstorm warning. The pond behind my house was up about a foot, but we didn't get as much rain as Kokomo.

a bit north of Detroit, we had a storm blow through yesterday afternoon that caused parts of town to lose power. For example, I work nights at Hollywood Video here, and Blockbuster was in the area that lost power, so we had a bit more business than usual, and a LOT(almost 30) new members...

It's beautiful today in Appleton :) Nice, clear skies, little humidity, not too hot, a little breezy ... perfect! The last few days it has been kind of stormy, though usually at night. I like the weather we're having now.

This picture was taken by me this morning at a creek at the entrance to my neighborhood. Its a tiny creek, more of a 8 foot deep ditch that usually has about 6-12 inches of water at most.

I was in Kokomo last night to visit my uncles new house and they had a pretty nasty storm that afternoon. Winds were around 60mph + and i saw a tree fall down across the street when i was standing outside in the garage. In Indy we got some wind and some rain, but it wasnt as bad as you guys did in K-town.

I should of stayed quiet... I cursed myself.. I had to grab my shoes and run and hide... the wind is very high here now.. and it's pouring. Oh well, maybe the town will flood.. and I won't have to work tomorrow. :D
