Does anyone have purchase information for additional air compressors (similar 12V models okay)?

Thanks,

Eric.

SMC (http://www.smcusa.com/) provides all pneumatic equipment, correct (the FIRST contact for pneumatics is HPE (http://www.hpeco.com/))? That'd be a good place to start.

However, what I would definitely do is first go to another team and ask them about it. Most teams would either trade, sell or even give you stuff like that if it's for a good purpose, depending on their circumstances with pneumatics. I wouldn't be surprised if your team had one lying around. If you like, I can make some inquiries on my team, though we are in... uh, Canada.

Actually, a friend of mine wants to find a 12V compressor for motorcycle trips. We've used ours on the robots each year. If there is a team that wants to sell one and raise a couple bucks, I can put you in touch.

Thanks,

Eric.

SMC provides cylinders, solenoids, and other materials, but not the compressors and HPECO is a general distributor. However,
Thomas Industries (http://www.thomaspumps.com) Provides the compressors. I don't know if they are custom made for FIRST or not (I don't have part number and there is no picture of the FIRST one in the pdf catalog (http://www.thomaspumps.com/products/oem/standard-cat.html)), but there are similar models (w/ pictures), and many 12V compressors.

For blowing up tires, etc? If so, it's probably cheaper to stop by you local auto parts store or Target/Wal-mart/etc and just pick up a compressor that plugs directly into a cigarette lighter. If the motorcycle doesn't have a cigarette lighter, the compressor is still 12V and you could easily cut off the plug that comes with it and put on your own.

Harbor Freight Tools has a ton of all different air compressors including what you are looking for but I have no idea how their prices compare. I would go with what rbayer said.

Also, there is a great little compressor inside those 3n1 car jumpstarter/ tire inflator things.
