Has anyone been able to get the drop down menus working in mozilla / firebird? I've tried clearing my cache & cookies, but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions, or do they only work in IE?

That's weird. I've gotten them to work with IE, Firebird, and Opera.

The drop down menus only work with Java enabled browsers.
They are working for me in Firebird.

What drop down menu's??? I don't see any of them and I am running Java enabled IE6.
Can someone show a screen shot of where they are supposed to be?
Click on a user's name, Elgin. There should be a drop down menu with options to view profile, send PM, view website, etc.

I had the same problem at first.
It just started working for me eventually. Not sure what I did exactly. Of and, it started working after I posted a similar thread on vBulletin's support forums, and everybody replied with 'huh? works for me', so I can relate :)
Oh, make sure JavaScript is enabled, too.

Oh, make sure JavaScript is enabled, too.Similar experience for me. It wasn't working this morning. Then I went out to run some errands. Now it works.
My suggestion to fixing the problem: go pay your rent, mail christmas cards, and eat at Subway... it worked for me. =-]

Good advice, it worked. But my process was a little different. Post about it not working, research about firebird & java, eat some pizza for lunch, answer questions about why a test isn't working... bam, it's working now. Simple as that. Now I just hope I don't have to repeat the process to get it working on my home computer.

It's not related to java, since I don't have a JVM installed. It is related to javascript. If I disable javascript, it doesn't work
It works fine for me in epiphany and galeon (both based on mozilla 1.5), but not konqueror.

Yeah, it's all JavaScript.
And FYI -- if JavaScript isn't on .. the features show up at the bottom.
You just lose out on the eye-candy. You still get the functionality.
