A Mini-QotW from NYC 12/14-
Now that the Holidays are upon us, everyone has a list of “Wants.”
I personally want a portable DVD player. (Is my family reading this.....hint, hint.)
For the FIRST teams I mentor, I wanted a new drill press because the old one is dead; a circular hand saw to cut wood prototypes; a ton of drill bits because student can’t drill straight; and new stronger workbenches and a coffee maker for me!
So, the Mini-QotW for everyone is: What is on your list of Holiday “Wants” for yourself and for your FIRST Team.

Um. Well, a registration fee would be really cool.
<edit>by that I mean someone to pay it</edit>
And bosch rail. Lots of it.
If not bosch then a welder would be nice.
And a drill press would be cool.
And if not a drill press I could settle for, well any drill.
And a pin machine
And more students
And a vice
And a workbench
And any kind of saw
And more students
And nuts and bolts
And somewho who wants to teach the students inventor
And someone else who wants to teach them C
And more students
And tube aluminum
And a crate
And more students
That post made me feel awfully greedy.

I personally just want to be with Laura for christmas... Once you find truw love any meterial thing is pointless. As for my FIRST teams I want to have a trip in which I can spend some time with my good friends (and girlfriend) before build season starts.

Two things for my team:
1.) A spiffy new robot for the 2004 game
2.) A victory at one of our two regionals
As for myself...there's not really much that I need. Just to throw it out there, a 40 gig iPod would be nice... :D

My parents are begging me to tell them what I want. I have so much stuff I can't think of anything really. For now I'd say a FULL set of titanium nitride coated drill bits, a small mill, a small lathe, machine tools, and an Ionic Breeze.
Other than the drill bits, those things are a bit expensive and I don't think they would happen.
If someone really rich wants to get me a present, I'd be happy with a 1993 red Mustang Cobra with 5 spoke star wheels, a 1965 white Mustang fastback (like this one (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2447544642&category=6236)), or any Ford Ranger with a 302.
Somebody please help me and tell me what to ask for. I really have no idea.
Last Year I was on team 968 (RAWC) now I came back this year to become a mentor what my wish list for our team is some laptops because last year at the arizona regional our laptop was stolen from one of our trucks :ahh: at the hotel we where staing at so that really hurt us :( . The type of laptops we are looking for is a VIAO FRV26. as for me ?????????? More money For the team

I wish to be with my team when they announce the field at kick-off.
I wish to go home for the holidays.
I wish to have a good friend close by to b/s some of the times.
I wish I didn't have to work midnights.
I wish I didn't have school next week.
