Does anyone know if there will be a Kickoff Central website this year? I think Nate Smith made it in years past but I don't think he's been around here lately. For those of you who don't know, it was this one web page with the webcast, tigerbolt chat, and it would let you know of any updates to the FIRST site. I really think we should have this again. It should also incorporate something like a CD portal that will show links to the newest posts and such.

If whoever made this before can't do it again, I think someone else should. Perhaps it should also include descriptions and pictures of all the kit parts and game rules and field as they become available. Maybe it could integrate a system for multiple teams to upload descriptions and or pictures. This would be really helpful for teams who don't get to see the kit right away.

Nate Smith did have a site for the last few kickoffs. Here is a link to the announcement for 2001, http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11790&highlight=kickoff+central but he's done it other years also.

However, if you look at his signature: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/member.php?userid=97 you see that he has more important things on his mind ;)

I'm actually writing this message while visiting some of the in-laws out in Maine right now, so I'm not sure how much access I'm going to have to work on a site...I'll see what I can do between now and then, but I can't make any guarantees at this point...in the meantime, if any of you have links for some of the webcasts, e-mail them to me at crazynate@provide.net and I'll see what I can do about putting at least something together...

I just finished setting up a very basic site at http://hyperrules.chiefdelphi.com/kickoff/ . I'm going to try and still get the update watcher in place as I have had the past couple of years, but I don't know if I'll have the time to write the scripts for it or not...Enjoy!
