There is now a picture of the new controller at Innovation First (http://www.innovationfirst.com/FIRSTRobotics/rc.htm). It looks fairly similar to the ones of past, and also obviously the new edubot controller. The team color pins are the most interesting part I can see, what new need will there be for team color designation? I think this may have something to do with autonomous, with maybe even different times based on your team.
