After i saw the realease of this years game, i made a program that will take in the amount of balls in each goal, whether or not there is a multiplier, and how many bots are hanging per team and calculate the score. download the zip file for this at http://www24.brinkster.com/interstice/FIRST/FIRST2004.zip .... Thanks!

i like it except there is one problem you dont limit the 5 point balls, or the 10 point balls, the most total from all the text boxes on the 5 is 30 if im not mistaken, and 10 on the 10 point balls, this would be easy to fix i think.. thats all i found wrong, otherwise, good job and fast work

But...
What is the maximum number of balls that can be (physicly) stored in a goal at a time. That seriously effects our stratagy planning....

I think this would be dependant on how the balls settle into the goal. The only real way to find out is to try yourself...or hope someone else on CD does and is nice enough to share the information. :)
Perfectly placed, you could put a LOT of balls in one goal.. but 'perfectly placed' means making a bunch of balls stay on one plane so it makes the PVC pipes bend out. That would look so cool :P

made my scoring spreadsheet in Excel... a 1 in the Large column automatically gives you the 2x mult., a 0 gives you a 1x. also figures Qualifying Pts, & Ranking Pts. :ahh:
OH, and so far the highest winning score i've gotten is 320/310. highest tie:320

UPDATE!!!
OK, score sheet includes QP & RP, tells u if u have too many balls entered, and how many balls you have to work with. multiplyer = 1, no mult. = 0
.zip file attached
if you need more scoring rules in the program... www.theforceteam.com/score/scoring.xls (www.theforceteam.com/score/scoring.xls ) has the penaltys and if you have too many balls and what not. Also if you have a computer connected to the web you can use http://www.theforceteam.com/score/

I like I like this alot more easier then the previous 2003Score.xls sheet from last year.
The HTML version of the scoring program didn't work in Safari under OS X. I changed the name of the .swf file to finalweb.swf and it worked okay.

Thanx for the compliment, but I didn't make a spreadsheet last year.
