Could someone tell me what this is about. My video feed was really choppy and I remeber seeing it somewhere in the manual (something about the robots not being allowed to have anything that interferes with it) but now I can't find it.
Thanks
BandChick: Yup. Thats what I wanted to know

the infrared sensor is between the two 10 point yellow balls at the beginning of the match. once these balls are removed the purple 5 point balls are removed from their corral. dave is hoping that people will use the infrared sensors to find the 10 point ball during autonomous. i hope that answers your question

It's true that your robot cannot "jam" the IR signals. By this I mean that you cannot broadcast IR signals at all, you may only use IR sensors.

To clarify, the device located on the field between the two 10 point balls is actually an infrared emitter. Your robot could use infrared sensors to locate the emitter to know which way to drive to get to the 10 point ball.
