Our current messageboard is running phpBB 2.0.6 with an Access database. I was hoping to add more features, such-as a photo gallery, chatroom, and mabe a CVS of the latest version of phpBB 2.2.

Our Access database is not working with the CVS, or any mods, and we are in need of a new DB.

Normally you are asking way to much for a free webhost. Even if you did get one for free, you'd get exactly what you paid for.

However, 1 & 1 Internet is the largest webhost in Europe and are trying to break into the US market. They are offering free webhosting for 3 years, and that includes mySQL and many other things. Check them out at http://www.1and1.com

I signed up with them. good stuff. the only problem is that is gives you a really crappy user name so loging in and changing things can be a hastle. Also, if you don't get a domain your address is the obscene username at a wierd hoster. Still good free servicies. :)

Before you do anything drastic--like sign up for a program where you may at some point have to pay--I suggest considering http://staghosting.com.

Thanks for the links, but what we need is just a database hosted. Our webspace server is just fine every other way, but it would be great to actualy be able to use MySQL instead of Access for our messageboard. That way we could add mods requiring MySQL.
