I had a question concerning "straddling" the line...
During the autonomous period, is the line that the robot is supposed to follow REQUIRED to stay in between the robotīs two extremities??? In other words, does the robot always need to travel over/above it?
Thanks...

you are not required to follow the line at all. It is just there if you want to use it.

if you want to use it you can use it in any way you want

Tribo,
The "straddling" rule is just where the robot must start at the beginning of the match. It does make it easy if you line follow to the goals but there are faster ways to achieve that.

Thanks, I did think it was only an option...
however, I am considering not even going for the bonus ball during those first 15 seconds

Question Answered:

The robot must straddle the line at the start of the match, but afterwards, it can go whereever it pleases.
