FIRST has said that in the next few days, a more detailed set of plans for the ball "dumper" (which im guessing you mean the thing above the drivers stations) will be posted Here (http://www.usfirst.org/robotics/doc_updt.htm). But for now since each holds 18 balls at 13" each, it is 6 balls across and 3 balls back, plus a little room for tolerances. Hope that helps.

OK, I'll keep my eyes peeled for the new plans from FIRST.

Thanks again! :D

Are you sure? because it looked in the kickoff video like they only had 1 ball on the top row and 7-8 balls on the first 2 rows. I'm not positive, but thats what I remember.

From the FIRST Q&A board:

Q: What are the exact dimensions of the ball delivery system?

A: The Ball Release is a rectangular box constructed of aluminum angle stock. Overall dimensions are 7' 8" wide x 4' deep x 1' high. A fabrication and assembly drawing will be posted soon.

We are not planning to make an 'offical' ball dump box. We will make a box about the same size, then just use students to dump them out. It should work out about the same.

I also recall hearing that the offical drawings would be released by this weekend, but still not up.

We are trying to duplicate this years field to the best of our abilities but without the documentation from first we are unable to get an accurate field. We at RAGE would like to know if anyone affiliated with FIRST might have a copy of these plans or if you know if FIRST is planning on releasing them and when if ever. We need these plans soon for practicing purposes. We are looking for Official plans for all of the components for the actaul competition playing field.
