We are planning on using the drill motor/gearhead provided by S-B Tools (Bosch?). Rather than buying a spare motor/gearhead, we would like to purchase a cordless drill containing these items. If we end up not needing the spares in competition, the team will at least have one (or two) cordless drills available. Considering the cost of replacement parts vs complete units, I doubt that it will cost us much more. Does anyone know what the manufacturer/model number of cordless drills containing the motor-gearhead provide by FIRST?

I just had a thought/ nightmare. Do you all remember when they told us that the no load rpm on the drills were 300 and 1200, respectively. Well looking at the specs of the Bosch Drill that is for sale they claim the the no load rpms are 400 and 1200. this poes a major problem for our drive train. can anyone definatly conferm the rpm of the drill motor in low gear?

There have always been two different values for the drill motor RPMs. The spec sheet included in the manual says 400 rpm, whereas Dr. Joe and sever other people have measured it to be much closer to 300 rpm. I think you are much safer with the 300 rpm figure.
