Following Gadget470's suggestion, here is a tailgating thread for a single regional. Whose in for tailgating at the VCU regional? I believe the rest (or most) of my team would be up for it.

I'd personally be happy to bring some soda/pop and OJ. Just when will it be? Wouldn't it be good to do it infront of the Segal Center on Thursday?

I think Saturday would be a better day. Only my team's pit crew and drivers will be down there on thursday. The rest of the team comes down on friday. In general, I believe that more people are going to be there saturday and thus we should plan this for saturday.

Here is where Gabe can come in. He can find out the school/city rules on having a tailgate. That should be the first order of business. Then figuring out who wants to be involved, making it a CD meetup/VCU WebHug? Then distribution of supply/material acquistion. And so on.
But first figure out if we can.

Hey, 422's up for it. That's pretty much our 'hood; we could try and have it at Governor's School, which is 2 blocks away :)
We just need 116 to bring it's Foreman grill with donut-warmer aluminum attachments (If Wetzel ever finished them).

If you guys want, I can make this into an official VCU Robotics Club event.
The problem you will run into is that there is limited space around the seigal center.
Ther is a new kroger around the corner from the seigal center with a large parking lot. I would be tempted to ask them for permission to use a bit of it for the tailgate.
That way we have plenty of room and ar not in violation with the Seigal Center's policies.
If you are SERIOUS about this, e-mail me @ goldmangj@vcu.edu and I will get the ball rolling on it!!
