Is it ok for our team to purchase an alternate form of pneumatic tubing if it meets the 120 PSI requirement??

probably, but why would you want to? FIRST gave you all the right size fittings, now you are going to have to buy all new fittings and such.
The best answer you can find is on the flow chart in the manuel, if it says nothing about it, you're fine, but if i can recall, you HAVE to use Bimba pneumatic products
As I read Section 5.2.9 of the manual (Rules R53 and R54), and go through the Part Use Flowchart, I would interpret it as "no". Alternative tubing is not a kit part, so it falls under the "Pneumatics/Hydraulics" section. It is not an air cylinder listed on the Custom Cylinder Order Form, or a component from a prior year's kit. Therefore, the logic flows to the "No, it may not be used" box.
Note this is not an official answer, only my opinion. For the real answer, post this to the FIRST Q&A board. But this is what I would expect the reponse to be.
