We have had this happen to three balls already, and peopel have only practiced a little. Has any one else noticed them popping very easily? Also, the ones that have popped are the new, thicker balls, not the old, thin one. If it really is pretty easy to pop the balls, then I have a feeling there will be alot of popped balls at the competitions. Maybe it is just too cold here.

we popped one when trying to fill it. the needle went right into the air hole, all the way through, and out the other side of the ball.

Remember, popped balls take much less space in the goal, so you can fit more of them in there. You just have to get good enough to pop them on the goal and have them still fall in. :)

i imagine quite a few will pop from sharp edges and being squeezed between bots

in an simalar topic has anyone who has the real balls incountered any mis-shaping of the balls after use kinda like 2001?

we lost a 13" ball today when someone was shooting goals, and the center of the field wasnt done yet - hit a 1/2" bolts sticking out and blew into 4 pieces, like popping a ballon!

We haven't had any troubles with the balls popping yet, but maybe its because they are over-inflated? We made a frame to measure the balls with, and pumped them to exactly 13 inches. When pumped to 13 inches, the balls are very hard and rigid - one person stood on one and it didn't pop...but the ball that came with the kit is really light, and bounces less...

we have not noticed any deformation of the balls they seem to be able to retain their shape.
but we have poped a few balls since then we've moved all of the sharp things away from the field or atleast all the stuff thats not part of the field or a bot.

None of ours have popped, but I was back working with 226 and all of the balls roll like eggs because they're not all spherical

Really, and i thought i was the only one who did that....

Yep!....i did that same exact thing.....quite interesting to watch advisors heads spin off when they find out the ball has a pinhole leak only after about 10seconds of being out of the crate

The sad thing is not even a ducttape bandaid could fix the airleak

This was common in past years with the yellow balls.

I think they makes us overinflate them on purpose to make it harder. :-/
