That must be the EXACT moment when she realized she forgot my birthday :D

Hahaha, just kidding, Amanda.

Anyone feel like giving a backstory to this? I'm confused. Of course, I'm always confused.

Ha, is it safe to assume that this was the dinner outing that Brandon priced out the travel for me the night before?

If I had to guess, based on when this picture was taken and the thing Amanda forgot was VERY important, I would say that she forgot to do something relating to UFH. Considering she posted the congrats for Andy after three in the morning, that would be my guess.

Guys, don't tease her too much about this - I know she's been kicking herself for it because it was 3 hours late....

But guess what....its OK! 3 hours late isn't bad!

Perfect example - the Chapman Bros were 2 weeks late on a new StrongBad email (www.homestarrunner.com if you don't know what I'm talking about)...and people still forgave them, because what they do is quality stuff.

Sooo, what she's doing is quality stuff. And b/c of that, I'm more than willing to wait 3 hours for it to come up..and heck, I know I was sleeping, and wouldn't look at it until I woke up. ;)

I was with Amanda, her roommate, and the Role Model himself, DJ Fluck, at 10pm when she realized this. Her reaction, as seen in the picture, shows how dedicated she is, and how much she cares about UFH. She was stuck like that for a good 47 seconds.

Amanda does a great job, and as Jess said below -- 3 hours late is nothing to worry about at all.

Thanks Amanda for everything you do for UFH!

That was a painful 2 weeks >_< But hey, what can you do... the brother Chaps rock :)

Man, Aaron guesses like none other, must be.. psychic intuition, or something.

Amanda's reaction = funny :]

Let's settle this once and for all, before a thousand more incriminating and embarrassing pictures of me are splattered all over the portal!

I DID NOT forget to do the UFH for this month. I posted it, but did not complete it in the system. The finished result, as you see here, was on a Word document, opened, on my desktop. I simply forgot to copy/paste.

I'm sitting in Goshen, Indiana, with a group of people. I am reminded of it. I panic. And the only person who could really save my butt, Brandon Martus... is sitting across the table from me. Laughing.

I had to call another member of the committee to bail me out, but even then, he could not put the correct information up. So Brandon and I came up with a temporary solution in the meantime, and we left, drove home madly, and Andy was about three hours late.

I sincerely apologize to Andy for forgetting him out of three hours of good quality honoree time. And I swear to everyone that it will never happen again. Blame it on Brandon Martus - he convinced me and my roommate to drive up there and sit in a Steak N'Shake for five hours! I think he had it planned! ;)

You can start looking for my replacement at the end of this message,

Amanda 'Please don't post any more bad pictures of me' Morrison

She's right, she really didn't forget..it was one of those "whoops" that we all make time to time..

I don't think he or anyone else will mind...the normal person shouldn't even be awake between that time you "missed" There is no problem here and yes this is Brandon's fault. Come on Brandon lets hear one of those evil "grrrrs" :p

We all make our mistakes, but hey like Brandon said you do a good job with this stuff. If you keep up your good work, i'll keep up with the embarassing pictures :D

Good Job, Kido (seriously)

A Steak and Shake is a wonderful place to eat after a long robotics competition, they have homemade steak burgers and any type of Milk Shake you can think of. (And they give you a new one if you knock yours over) :D
Yay for IRI!

Hey...Denny's isn't that bad...

In any case, all of the Denny's restaurants in my area have closed down. Guess a lot of people agree with John. :)

And just to get this thread even more off-topic...the single best meal I've had on a Robotics trip was in Grand Rapids for the West Michigan regional. Our team found a little deli, The Two Choppers, that was within walking distance of the stadium. That place had the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life. On top of that, their brownies were just amazing. Too bad we won't be going back this year... :(

Ryan Dognaux

The good thing bout Denny's is that they have cheap food, like 3 dollars for their grand slam breakfast... that's pretty cool.

I believe I have seen that exact same reaction from Amanda before. If only I could remember when...

...Oh yeah, it was when we were standing outside the arena at St. Louis and she realized she forgot the robot batteries.

Congratulations, Amanda...now you'll never be able to forget about it! :D
