This would be a wonderful idea for our media blast in a few week.
I think I may want to build one...

thats a really good idea for strategy - the only thing is that the gumballs dont bounce like the rubber ones do... :)

One of the members on my team made a scale playing field model as well. I'll have to post a pic of it one of these days.

But we didn't use gumballs though! lol

that is absolutly CRAZY :ahh: ! A) I would have never though of something like that (i.e. candy) B) I dont think I would have the self constraint to finish it even if I did think of it C) even if I wouldn't eat all the candy my teamates would & finally D0 I just plain wouldn't have the time ! Absolutely amazing. It is very noteworthy.

Not to nitpick or anything, but there is one thing that looks a little out of scale: the bar around the bonus balls looks a little too high. But overall, that is awesome. I wouldn't be able to do that during the build season.

If that was in our robotics lab .... the balls would be gone within a day.

I'm going to have to post a picture of our SCALED model of the field. It is made totally with wood and ping pong balls.

Too Cool!!!
You should bring this to nats and display it like how some other teams did last year (with other scalled down fields).
