I have looked up on the rules and the Q&A and haven't found any mention on wether the Controler Interface must be visible. Can we hide it under our switches because we are planning on having a computer dashboard any way?

PS: I HAVE ALREADY CD FOR AN ANSWER AND DID NOT FIND ANYTHING

I don't know about this year, but we got in trouble for doing that in 2002 and they made us reconfigure our control board. (They wanted to be able to see the LEDs and verify that the competition cable was being plugged directly into the competition socket.

Regardless of what the rules say, it's definitely in your best interest to make sure the LEDs on the OI are visible. If you're having a problem with your control system, you really want Innovation First to be able to quickly inspect your OI to see where the problem is. Plus, if you start having problems during a match, the first thing they'll do is look at the LEDs on the OI and RC (which is why you're supposed to mount your RC so the LEDs are visible from some angle). If it's during a match and you're having problems and IFI can't see your OI, they may not be able to do as much to help you fix it quickly.

i would reccommend you having your LED's directly visable and connect directly to the Comp port, that is one thing FIRST and IFI would like more then an indirect connection and no visability for debugging and finding a problem(s) that may be present.
