Help with understanding Fuse panel

Team 701 desperately needs help on how to hook up a maxi fuse panel. We have basic knowledge and had no problem getting the previous year robots to work, but this year there is booster with it....or is it a turbo. That is how lost i am. Its black with 3 connectors on one end (connectors meaning 3 holes that can fit wires in it....) and on the other end there are 3 sets of 4 little holes...slot like. ARG!! this is how lost i am at least. My team knows more about it then and any information about how to hook that part up with the fuse pannel will be much appreciated. THANK YOU!

the black box you are talking about is just to connect a bunch of wires together - you already got the basic idea, the heavy #6 wire from the 120 Amp circuit breaker goes in one end, and you can attach four #10 wires to the other end, one for each of the 40 amp breakers in the clear plastic fuse box

the middle set you dont need to use, and the bottom 'buss' lets you connect the black #6 wire from the ground stud, or the negative side of the battery, to the - terminals on the 4 victors that you are using for your drill or chips motors

btw, if you are only using 2 drive motors, you dont need to put wires in for all four 40A breakers.

check the wiring diagram in the manual - it should make more sense now.

Check my post here...http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24973 with pictures. Remember the you can extend the wiring between the transition block and the fuse block, it does not need to be as close as shown. The short wires do cut down on wiring losses. The return (black wiring) is not shown in these pics. Just use one of the other blocks for that purpose. Remember that the unused sections of this block can be removed as well as the unused block in the maxi-fuse block.
