I think thats fake, but if it is true...im laughing :)
Edit: Hey I guess it is real...or maybe its a scam by Microsoft for everyone to have to go out and get "security" software :p

Update: Microsoft's Tom Pilla has confirmed the leak stating: "Today we became aware that incomplete portions of Windows 2000 and NT 4.0 source code was illegally made available on the Internet"

its about time HAHAHAH!!!! its not worth the money!!!
Heh. Looks like WINE may be getting a bit better soon :)
People keep saying this is the 'downfall of MS' Yeah.. right. More like the best time to buy stock :) I'd like to. Maybe it'll prompt a whole bunch of patches a whole lot sooner. MS is probably going to have to redo the way they store passwords, and change a few other things.. as those can all be reversed with this. Overall, I'm not worried. I'm nicely secured behind a NAT'ing router and I update/patch regularly. I wonder if MS 'borrowed' any code from things. Maybe Windows will be better because of this :) I believe all of the Windows API is in it.. so maybe programs can be optimized a bit more.

NO!!!!!
Anybody involved in any form of main-stream open source project won't be touching this code with a 100-ft pole. Just think what would happen if MS found out that some of their code (or code based on their code) ended up in an OS project--it would be SCO all over again, except this time they'd be right!
That said, it's still soooo tempting to just poke around in it for a while to see how a multi-million line, multi-million dollar program is constructed...
