Hello all,

I was wondering if I could get a rough estimate of how many people on these fourms, who have play/played Ultimate frisbee competivetly. I was hoping to get something along the lines of a hat game going on with players from all over the county. All that would be required would be a light shirt, a dark shirt, water, and a disc or two if you have them. Not sure when it would happen, possibly after seeding rounds. This would be slightly more organized than just pick-up games. If you are intrested or have questions please respond to this thread.

Count me in. There are others on my team that enjoy playing as well, but maybe at a less competitive level.

Thats cool from the lack of responses I guessed that, but anybody who is up for some frisbee at Nats I will gladly be there as much as I can.

I haven't played Ultimate since I was in high school (long time ago). I suspect playing would not be good for my health currently. :o

How about some team juggling? I'm guessing that you juggle from your icon, Aaron. (I need to learn how to do this and there is no one else good enough at juggling nearby)

Intriguing on a couple of levels.
A high school classmate's family (I'm 50, so that's a while ago) was the creator of frisbee "courses" - like golf courses.
I don't know what Ultimate frisbee is.
We were just talking that our sponsor rent.com is giving us @100 frisbees, and we'd decided to hand them out at nationals.

I looked it up as I posted the last time. Thank you!
You guys get this off the ground we'll have the frisbees passed out at your game.

Count me in, so long as I find the time to play. It's my first year in FIRST, and so my first year at Nats. If it's anything like Regionals, I have no idea when I'll have the time, but if I do have the time, I definitely want in. Sounds like a blast and a half.

Ahhh, I didn't read about ultimate enuf to get details or realize that, however obviously the best customers for our frisbees would be the ones playing ultimate. Offer still stands - you get the game off the ground we'll pass out the frisbees at your game.

well you could have at least 2 members from 121 but we are both on the drive team =( so if we can get an ORGANIZED lunch game in that would be completely awsome, or a game wednesday night if people are in town already

I love both ultimate and frisbee golf. Very different games of course, the golf discs are so differnt tho. I wouldn't want to play ultimate with a frisbee golf disc....I'd probably kill someone...They are just so much more painful to get hit with cuz of thier smaller size/and hard rubber like material.

If my teams go to nationals...you can count on me, altho time might be an issue...I have a hand in almost every part of my teams operations.

Reminds me of a story back from when I use to play ultimate at this summer program at Duke University. We had this side game called hot boxing...well there were 2 versions 1 vs 1 or team vs team. 1 on 1 was basically throw as possible to make the other person not be able to catch it. With teams it was 2 discs on the field and basically trying to kill the other team. Well the strategy we had was the throw one disc first as a distractor and then the second disc to hit the person that was catching the first.... My teammate threw his disc...I threw mine....guys catches 1st disc...my disc proceeds to hit the hand that caught the first disc....peeled one of his nails back....<insert long chain of explicatives here>
