im confused, are you bashing your own bot, or is this another teams?

yeah, it's our robot. but we've been informed from other people that it is "ugly" and personally, i'm tired of hearing it. so no, i'm not "bashing my own bot" and no, this is not another teams' robot either. this is ours, 100% our designs and ideas, but its not the prettiest rose in the bush if you know what i mean ;)
I disagree with anyone who calls this design ugly. It is, like others have said, a very beautiful design. Why beautiful? Because out of all the robots I've seen, it's the most simple design (possibly the simplest i've ever seen).

how much does it weigh?
I'm making a guess and saying 72lbs :D
yeah, it's about 80lbs...easily ALOT lighter than i am, and i'm 110 lbs. i even rode on it :)
Well we are a rookie team, and a very very small one at that. With 13 total people, and only 4/5 people actively working on the bot we decided to go with a simple bot that did 1 thing well. We collect balls if you didn't figure that out, we can fit like 5-7 balls before we have to come back to deposit, tho it gets touchy to drive at max capcity.
Well we haven't actually weighed it yet, but comparing to my seven yr old sis, I would say no more than 80-85 lbs. On Monday it was probably around 70 lbs, fully loaded. We added a good bit of stuff in the past couple of days to fix up the issues we found when were at the DC scrim. Some structural problems, some ball control issues (hence the paddle thing), and some flex in our legs when we did our drop.

If it is designed to fall at the beginning of the match, and I'm guessing it is, then be very sure to secure EVERYTHING on that electronics board.
I have seen this similar design a few times before, and sometimes that was a problem. I'm sure you already figured that out, but just wanted to say that!!!
Oh, and Good Luck!!!

Thanks, we have all the electronics that taken care of. We have dropped it 60 or so times now and nothing has fallen off. We have flexed our legs a bit tho, about .7 of a degree (translating to about 1cm loss in height in the front) but that was before we had those braces on there. So we should be fine now.

Must be the most simplest bot yet.
It is sure to win something.

I think it's a beautiful robot. I hope it does well, I haven't seen that many robots who can handle balls *really* well. This one looks like it should be able to pretty well.
