View Full Version : Digital pictures and the field.....
Unfortuantely I might as well mention this before the regionals but.... I believe there may be a problem in using digital cameras to take pictures of the field. The IR light from the beacons actually show up on the cameras. This does not appear on regular cameras though. So remeber to buy the film.:)

YES CCD (Charged Coupling Devices) picks up inferred light and translates it as a bright light. The ICF is suppose to filter out normal inferred light from the sun, but it seems not to filter out the beacons.
This is actually a good test to see if the beacon was active. But I don't believe that digital cameras would pick it up because of the intense light on the light, and the distance away. It will definitely not be as obvious as the "glow" effect in 2002
