My only suggestion would be to make the upcoming events in the flash nav a ticker or a news flash type thing, that way, I dont have to scroll... and i dont like scrolling.

But other than that, awesome website...see ya at Orlando!

Hmm, by any chance do you know how to do this? I'm very new to Flash, actually... that header was the first thing I've made in Flash... if you could tell me how to go about doing that I'd love to know! Thanks for the input!

you can also do it with dhtml scripts... but in flash all you have to do is create an symbol and put the new in it and create a motion tween on it... you can also have it link to a txt file and update the txt for news but then you'll need a script for the scrolling

I currently use a txt file to update the flash thing automatically. Do you by chance have a script for the scrolling, or a means of going about it? I'm very new to actionscript. Thanks again.

For a contrary opinion, I'd suggest that you don't force something like that on the viewer. I find flashing/moving/unstable content on a web page very distracting. While I don't mind scrolling to find what I want to see, I do mind having to wait for it to appear on its own in a "ticker" display.

There are only a few items in that "upcoming events" list anyway, so you wouldn't have to wait much.

Also, if you're new to AS, I recommend getting a Flash component of some sort....

http://flashcomponents.net

search for "Headlab"
