For those of you just taking digital cameras, take enough memory cards... If you are taking a digital camera and a laptop, take a means to transfer the pictures (unless you're like me and your laptop has a build in card reader). And more than one set of batteries, even with a charger.

Ah yes, teams....don't forget to bring Elgin with you wherever you go.....a competition just isn't complete without everyone's favorite monorail-breaking redhead :DWho just happened to be the one who brough his GPS system with him so we knew how long before we got there after our 2.5 hour delay from our bus!!!
I brought the GPS Jess, and look... I didn't even break anything this time! <knock on wood> I did in fact actually save a battery from falling off our robot and I do have a witness or two!!!!
So... :p lol j/k
And the only reason we get lost going to mini comps is because of those EVIL roundabouts in MA.. Those should be illegal!

I'd suggest that if your sitting next to a team like us (88), MOE (365), Rage (173), 195 (thats just a few, i know i left a couple hundred out), then a smart investment would be earplugs... ;)

I remember in the older days that I was voted team trouble maker. So if you want to pack a prankster/havoc pack, this is what you'll need:
shaving cream
duct tape
sharpie
feather
ninja stars
mini dodge ball
superglue
noisemaker
waterballoons
frisby
pocket knife
magic cards
squirtgun
rubber band gun
rubber bands
dvd player
Complete Kevin Smith Films Collection
N64 w/ Goldeneye
Caffeine Pills(from staying up all night playing games and watching movies)
Yeah. . .
I had some fun with these items in my younger days, but I've grown up a little bit, so I dont bring dangerous, destructive, or sharp items anymore. Still need my Kevin Smith though. . .

I thought of something new that EVERY team should bring to competitions.
Canned compressed air for cleaning off the dust from your robot from sitting in a shipping crate for a few weeks.
This will be on my new list of things to bring to UTC this next weekend.
The poor robot got dirty.. That will explain those two mysterious extra pounds. lol

Though there is no real explanation for this, Team 138 has been taking pictures of everyone we see with Aviator sunglasses on. We have team pics with Dean Kamen and Woody Flowers with our Aves on. If many of you bring aves, we'll find a way to post pictures of you online!
