Click here (http://www.geocities.com/doublepcs/bigmo.html) for a picture gallery of the 2002 Big MO Control System. There is room for our dash board in the center section but I didn't have my laptop with me on picture day. And..........of course I didn't show everything in the gallery. There has to be some suprises for the regionals. :)

I see Stu-ey!!!!!
wow, and i thought ours was elaborate. we took some lexan, box aluminum, and corrugated plastic (tried to use it on the robot, but aganst rules) and made a nice little board. Has two joysticks, a space for a laptop, and a few switches. it looks nice, but not as nice as yours. :D
Nice!
Ours is cool, but not as shiny.
Will you polish it?

Yes, a polish is in the plans. I didn't have enough time to do it before ship but I will be the guy at Cleveland with the big aluminum box and rubbing compund. :)
Hey, what's that 'glasses' plug doing there?! :)

Glasses plug? I don't know what you are talking about! :) Actually that is for the feedback from out custom circuit board. We have feedback LED's for when each one of our four drive motors are tripping the 30 amp breaker. That way the driver knows to back off. That is also what the LED's on the panel are for. So the arm driver can say, "Hey! Look at your glasses and back off!" In a very polite and gracious way of course. ;)
How exactly did you do it so that you can tell when your breakers are tripping? Is that part of your custom box?
Do your glasses look anything like this? (taped up for their protection :) ) :
329's glasses (high res) (http://www.team329.com/media/2002/pictures/robot/P1210010.JPG)
They have 4 led's which show AMP status, L/R gripper status, Side gripper status. They provide information to the driver without taking his attention away from the game.
They were one of the things that won the Creativity award in the SBPLI regional.

The feedback from the circuit breakers is part of our custom circuit board.
The glasses do look much like yours. I mean how many ways can you make LED saftey glasses really? :)
wow who came up with the design?
I did, I thought it was a good idea because last year it was distracting to always peer at the control system, dident think so many ppl would have it though :) , I guess great minds think alike :p :D
