Okay, if a person is involved in Robotics, should they be called a Roboteer or Roboto? People on my team have spent about a month arguing this so far so I figured posting it here would settle the issue.

Feel free to suggest any other terms?

Uh...hello. Doesn't the song go "Domo arrigato, Mr Roboto"?

Personally, I think "Roboteer" just sounds stupid.

Then again, that's just my opinion. :)

What was wrong with "roboticist?"

I just clicked on a random thing, ummmmmm... hmmmmm... now you've got me thinking. Roboteer is okay, but roboticist sounds way cooler.

None of the above.

I prefer the term "Bot Jock"

It's roboteer. Roboto just doesn't seem quite right.

In the profession, it is "roboticist" (and has been for at least 25 years).

i like roboto because my nickname with some of my friends outside of robotics is "Mr. Roboto" :]

Between the two choices I'm going to lean towards Roboteer. It's closer to what our team is comprised of, volunteers.

I belive the correct term is "NERD"

Heh A member of our team from last year actually suggested that to me, but I didn't put it on the poll... Oh well.
