well here are my thoughts about the new venue this year. its really really a nice place to be at. but of course every venue has its ups and downs. so i shall list what i have see so far here in atlanta.

UP's
1. its a huge place and there is lots of room.
2. well for me im stayin at the omni hotel and its right across the street from it.
3. the lego league is right in the middle of the compeition so you can always go there and check it out.
4. the sound and video for every division is great as well.
5. the gave us coupons for food which is great that we didn't have to use our own money
6. there is no going up and down ramps this time.

Downs:
1. the food is soooooooooooooooooooo over priced. i got a cheeseburger, fries, and a drink for 15 bucks. what the #ell!!!!!! plus is was cold, and nasty tasting. that needs a big improvement for next year.
2. the walk between the pits and the event is too long. now im not tryin to complain yes its good excersise but im always in the pits working and i missed a match cause i could not get back in time to see it.
3. ok this really upset me but i got breakfast in one of the places where the pits are and i was walkin back to the dome for the open cermonies and they would not let me bring in the food BUT IT WAS BOUGHT FROM THE SAME PLACE!!!!!!!!!!! that was rediculous.

so there are some improvements for next year that first really should work on and i personally think that the FOOD should be the concern.

At first I thought, "jeez, not another food price whiner." Then I read the next sentance: $15 dollars for what amount to a $5 meal at McDonalds.

I'm not going to bash FIRST, since they apparently provided some type of coupons. Which is awesome, kudos to FIRST for negotiating that. What were they exactly?
But wow... looks like the Georgia Dome is taking tips from movie cinemas with the 300% inflation. How is a family supposed to go and watch a Falcons game affordably. A 4 person family would spend $60 on McDonalds quality food. If I'm dropping a Grant on food, it better be served to me in a restaraunt.

Pizza Hut Pizza= $5
Bottle of Soda= $5
Candy Apple= $3
Water= $2.50-3.00

You thought Disney was expensive! Well, the Pizza Hut pizza is REALLY GOOD though, but I think the food was better than at Houston. Overall, I'll give Atlanta a 8 out of 10, Houston a 5 out of 10, and Disney a 9 out of 10. Atlanta is REALLY GOOD!

Are they selling krispy kremes here or around here. I saw a kid walking with a box of them this morning.
