:sigh:

I wish I could have seen this, but thanks to the wonderful lack of video on the other side of the curtain at the Archimedes field I had to settle for the story, and not the visual.

Hey!! Wait a minute.. Dave, I thought your other car was on Mars?? What is this?? Is this just the "junker" you keep around for the weekends, or did you Fed-Ex the Rover back to Atlanta from Mars, and that's why Fed-Ex won the Founders award??
(wonders what the shipping fee for that delivery was???)

Unless..
<conspiracy theory>
that the pics of Mars are really from a secret government base in the desert and the rover was on the Earth all along.
</conspiracy theory>

Nah, I'm just kidding.. I'll go with my Fed-Ex theory instead, so Mulder and Scully don't show up at my front door. :D

Erm ... :yikes:

From the pic it looks like Dave is auctioning it off! :p

P.S. If that robot was capable of hanging we might have chosen it for our alliance. :D

That is the exact thing I said to our mentor when we saw it down there.

Me: "It's pretty cool looking, but can it cap?"

I think it's just a little over the 130 pound limit though, and I think it might have some trouble fitting into the sizing booth :yikes:

I was going to distract Dave with Krispy Kremes while I drilled "speed holes" in the rover. ;)

"Most of you recognize this rover, used for finding life on Mars, yadda yadda yadda. I'm going to let you folks in on a little secret that NASA 'forgot' to tell the public ..."

*whisper*

"Not only is this machine capable of finding life on Mars ... it has a super-secret Krispy Kreme dispenser built right in!"

*normal voice*

"... and, if you remove the doughnuts this machine will weigh a hair under 130 lbs and actually is capable of hanging from a surprisingly coincidental 10 feet above the ground!!! *cough*With a few modifications So who wants to start the bidding? Do I hear $500? No? How about you there, the gentleman in the back, riding the Segway! I'll throw in my hawaiian shirt as a bonus gift! C'mon guys, it's a rover! Now that's pimp!!"

I think it might be just a tad over the $3500 price limit! :D

I like the expression on Woody's face. I can just see him thinking "Poor fool... little does he know that as soon as he has his Krispy Kremes, I'm going to grab the thing and run...."
