View Full Version : Vegas Lights Release to FIRST Teams
I am the creator of Vegas Lights. For those of you who viewed the animations at Chicago, you might remember Team 292's credits in particular. They had a Matrix-style effect created by my program, Vegas Lights. I am including a link to download the program. Your role in downloading the program and using it is to find and report bugs so I can fix them. I will try to fix them as soon as possible, but I am a busy student. Once you have installed the program, make sure you read the help file because the program is a little weird. Especially read the part about how to report bugs, so you know what to do when you encounter one. Please do not distribute it to anyone who is not related to FIRST :ahh: , because (1) it is a beta version, (2) it is copyrighted and I don't want to release it as a free program, (3) I would like FIRST teams to have access to it first. If you have any questions or comments, please email me using the email in the help file. I also have some examples on my link page: http://www.western.k12.in.us/Vegas_Lights/
Thanks for your help

Nice program... Not gotten a chance to use it yet. I would like to point out you need to download the .NET Framework for the program to work. You can go here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/netframework/technologyinfo/redist/

Yeah, you may want to mention on the site that you need that. Great program. Good work, and thanks for giving it to us FIRSTers for free. I'll be sure to report any problems I have.
Sorry about that. Here is a better link that goes to the download page. Just click download on the right-hand side. I have also added this to the web page. It is a 24 MB download.
Thanks for your advice and help.
