Ok...So I want to know what yall outside of Texas think of us. I start off...

You know you're in Texas when:

You can drive for 2 days and not leave the state.
You have tumbleweed races.
You make everything bigger just because you can.

So....true or not, lets hear 'em, y'all!

You have spanish band masses...
Your state icon "the alamo" is in the middle of downtown...
You have more than your fair share of Garden Ridge's.

(then again, I've only really visited San Antonio)

You pass a sign every 2 miles promoting "If you can eat a 50 oz steak in one sitting, it's FREE!"

You pass 30 "Whataburgers" in one town, or at least one a block. whichever's more. Starting at the moment you cross the border from Arkansas (but probably from every entrance point in the state). :p

Half decent?! We got the best in the world, I reckon!! Where in TX are you from?

Ok..a couple more:

You've actually been asked if you ride a horse to school.
When you've actually ridden a horse to school.
Where else is it legal to shoot anyone that comes onto your property?! :)

'Riginally from D/FW. And the half-decent was more in detriment to the local fare - nothin' remotely good 'round these parts.

When you see the eiffel tower ...

... with a cowboy hat on top.

My boyfriend took a co-op in Paris, Texas last semester and when he told me he was going to take pictures of the eiffel tower, I didn't believe him. Sure enough, a few hours later I had pictures of him standing in from of "The Tower"
