Well, not FIRST related ... but in honor of memorial day, and for all here to enjoy. (Since I'm going into engineering, I've got to go to the "dark side"--the humanities--every now and then. Here's my latest adventure.)
Rows of crosses paint the fields
Whereon our loved ones lie;
They fought and died for freedom,
So let its voice ring high.
And though now they sleep below,
Let not their memories fade;
Remember what they fought for,
Remember what they paid.
Their sacrifice was awesome,
The lives they lost were dear,
The gift they gave sweeter still--
So keep their spirits near.
For freedom lies in the heart,
not buried in the groud;
Victory in the mind,
For freedom to be found.
