Startup/Shutdown sounds

So, what does everyone use for startup and/or shutdown sounds? I saw that Jess B. uses the JVN sound as shutdown, so I started this.

Startup: Strongbad saying "Behold the 386! A spectacle of graphics and sound!" **dong ding** It's from the SBe-mail where he upgrades his computer

Shutdown: Strong bad again "It's about time. Why don't you go outside or something....nerd!"

Shutdown: Silence


I've never really liked those sounds and I usually always have the sound scheme selected to "no sound". Plus my laptop is usually always on so i would never here them even if i had them turned on.

I used to have LaFemme Nikita (USA series). When the computer would start it would be the opening of the show every week, "I was convicted of a hideous crime and sentenced to life in prison. One night I was taken from my cell to a place called Section 1, the most covert antiterrorist group on the planet. Thier ends are just but thier means are ruthless. If I don't play by thier rules.....I die." It was part of a LeFemme Nikita theme that I installed. I still have the wallpaper but I shut all the sounds off. I found it just got annoying after awhile.

I rarely reboot, so I have never really set those things up. I just use the default XP ones.

My computer, when started, proclaims "w00t." I credit my friend Jon for the fantastic sound :-P.
Upon closing, it goes, with credit to aforementioned Jon, "good luck on your social life"

Isn't that spiffy?
