we should program in some signature spirit aspects of teams. here are some ideas i had:
mascots, especially the 6 polygon mascot, the giant MOE stick
team's buttons awarded for beating that team
individual teams cheering objects
Buzz smiley face
MOE wobblies with sound (i already posted the sound here (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showpost.php?p=275758&postcount=32)
those inflatable sticks that a couple teams bang together

yeah if anyone wants me to use some of their team's spirit objects/mascots, please let me know...either PM me or reply to this thread for me. MOE, if you want us to use your MOE stick and wobblies, let me know. :)
Just note i'll be doing some animated versions of these mascots/objects. So let me know please!

Maybe we could also get photos/actual digitalized versions of some of the teams banners which are hung around the stands. Personally, ours is pretty cool... :D

And we could get Emoticons! Getting teams banners around the arena would be cool, as well as inside jokes and plugs. ;)

We should have random matches where a sign saying "I am JVN" can be seen held up in the audience :D

I'd be glad to help you with this Dori. The MOE mascot wouldnt be too hard to do, and I have some other ideas as well.

Speaking of buttons, let's not forget the mandatory team buttons for drivers coaches and human players.

Just to throw out an idea...perhaps throw in a way to allow your crowd to be pumped up? I know in some Xbox basketball game that when a guy was at the free-throw line, the other player could wiggle their stick and the guy's controller would vibrate, making it harder to shoot. Given that nobody's laptops vibrate (well, unless their fan is really screwed up), perhaps having a pumped crowd makes driving a bit easier or something?

Kind of like a streak.), climbing the platform, knocking the ball off in autonomous mode. Also, maybe some more general, match-type events, such as the start, last 10-15 seconds, etc?

I've been thinking about this. Slow days at Ninos Pizza gives me plenty of time to do that. :D
What if we had a crowd/adrenaline meter in one of the corners of the screen that ranged from 1 to 10. As Texan said, have certain events boost the meter up 1 or 2 notches. As the meter goes up your team performs better, the HP scores more and such. A lot of matches are decided in the last 10-15 seconds of a match so things get more intense and exciting, so for the last 10-15 seconds of a match, if the two alliance's scores are within say 50 points of eachother, EVERYONE'S meter gets boosted to 10, the MAX.
Just something to think about.
EDIT: The crowd's cheering level would be reflecting what it reads on the meter.

I like the idea a lot...
But they would have to have a person monitoring many things at once.
Or have like three or four people monitor it all. Meh, too much work.
