Where can I find a list of teams from their respective teams? Im talking with someone from CA that wants to know if there is a robotics team in her city there.

A little while back, there was a bit of a map craze. Some one made a nation-wide map (with some bugs). If there isn't a california map and there isn't anything on the national, try FIRSTwiki's teams by region index.
