i was just looking arround here at the library and came uppon this roler setypo for these omniwheeles, it had never occured to me to do it like this it looks realy smooth and it has encoders and everything.

yes, this holonomic drive platform is called a killough platform, named after stephan killough(guy who invented it) :D
google around about lego killough platform. you'll find countless ones... even tiny ones. with the "rollers" being the same sized wheels as my omnidrive base one used. i have created a few lego killough platforms and found they take up much more space than a "conventional" omniwheel. and they look better too :D

A holonomic drive system is a drive system that provides three degrees of freedom:
- Ability to drive forward
- Ability to drive sideways
- Ability to rotate
In essence, a holonomic drive system is unconstrained. It can accelerate in any direction at any time, and accelerate rotationally at any time.
Search chief delphi for "holonomic drive" or "omnidirectional drive", there's a lot of threads about this already.
