Hey everyone,

I was wondering if everyone could help me make a list of teams who are being metored by a specific college. This might help seniors like me who are willing to stay in college and doing FIRST at the same time... i will start off the list... :)

University of Central Florida - Team 1083

Clarkson University (JVN's Team) - Team 229

Worcester Polytechnic Institute - Team 190

p.s - I apologize if there was similar thread made before... i wasnt able to find the thread...

There are over a hundred college-mentored teams. Good luck finding them all. :)

Maybe one day there will be a resource for this...

Something like this (http://www.firstcollegeconnect.com/)?

I'm not sure if that's what you mean, but I just found it.

And Matt Leese created this site (http://www.rit.edu/~msl8101/scf/index.html) back in 2001, but it doesn't look like it's been updated.

Heres a few from good old Indiana:

Purdue University - 461. (the college students are the main mentors on the team)

Ball State University - 1020 (Prank Monkeys).

Ivy Tech (Kokomo) - 45 (Technokats).

IU also has a couple of teams of its own.

I also think there is a college up in Fort Wayne that helps mentor 1022.

Ask a first expert since I am not a good source of info.

An assortment of colleges mentor our team but here are the colleges:

Team 007 - Bucknell, University of Maryland College Park, University of Maryland Baltimore County.

As for other teams, here are a few more from MD:

Team 53 - University of Maryland College Park (Mechanical Engineering Department)
Team 768 - Johns Hopkins University (unsure if they sponsor or mentor)

That's really all I have/could find. I'll add more if I am either incorrect or I find more information.

I have added all the teams mentioned so far to the College mentored teams (http://www.firstwiki.org/index.php/Category:College_mentored_teams) category on FIRSTwiki. I also added the appropriate college to each teams list of sponsors (if it wasn't already there). For all of those not yet enlightened, FIRSTwiki users :p, to add a page to a category, simply add [[Category:Category name]] (In this case [[Category:College mentored teams]]) to the end of a page.

IU also has a couple of teams of its own.

None of the Bloomington teams are sponsored by IU (go figure... :D ), however 1272 is sponsored by Ivy Tech - Bloomington.

Why not just start a team of your own?

You're right, it hasn't been updated. I need to take that down. It's just serving to confuse people now.

Edit: I ended up deleting all of that today. There was no point to it anymore.
