i was watching crank yankers on comedy central...a skit about a nun answering an add in the paper and at the end of the sketch she got on a segway and rolled away....running over someone on her way,
i just find it interesting that segways are poping up in different media these days

There are two obvious things here: The Segway is definitley in and Dean Kamen is a Genius. I have seen segways in the OK movie Paycheck, in a rap video (I forget which one it was, and there is a thread about that), at Robotics Competitions (obviously), and [hopefully] in my house after January 2005.

it is a running (rolling?) joke after every scene...if you turn it on now you might see it

Siegfrid (sp?) and Roy on the new prime time animated feature Father of the Pride, rode Segways to the 7 11.

I watched it. On NBC - "Father of the Pride".
I don't think I'll look at catnip the same ever agian...
:D
It's a good/funny/clean show. They clap twice and 2 segways appear out of left field. Good stuff for Segway!

I don't remember what show I was watching but I definitely jumped up and got all excited when I saw it. It was also in some recent movie. And yeah, I saw them in the Father of the Pride series. It's really cool to see something that we've all been excited about from the get-go suddenly get huge like this.
I know my non-FIRST friends have even started recognizing them. It's like a whole new scientific revolution ;)

I'll give 'Father of the Pride' about a few more episodes before it's pulled. The combination low raitings (for a comedy NBC show), high price per show (over $2.2 million, or the price of two episodes of 'Family Guy'), and an overall lack of quality (the show has not faired well with reviewers).
Anyway, I think all exposure for the Segway will be great, even if it isn't in the best light. Anyone think we might see Segways on Queer Eye?
