View Full Version : CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #12

Alright, so this is a very special caption contest, posted early so those kooky Floridians can post before Jeanne messes with them. (Well, everyone else can post, too, but still.)

In fact, since Florida seems to be getting the short end of the stick this year, I'm instituting the Gary Dillard rule. What is the Gary Dillard rule, you ask?

Due to the fact that the state of Florida seems to get walloped with a hurricane every other week, the deadline for all caption contests shall be extended to 9 PM on Friday. Furthermore, any contestant may request in the event of an emergency or natural disaster for the next caption contest to be posted up to 47 hours before Billfred originally planned on it.
Ah, so much fun trying to write serious rules. The scores:

Thanks Billfred - one less thing to be stressed about this week. My entry:

No, he was definitely from your side of the family. See, he has black shoes.

Faced with charges of animal cruelty, KFC hires newly trained "slaughterchickens" trained to humanely murder thier bretheren. PETA once again voiced concern, however, when it was revealed that the chickens began wearing shoes and prodding the corpses with metal sticks.

As the chickens clearly demonstarte kids, don't play with cryogenics at home. Instead, get an expendable freshman to do it for you.

And now, finally, we have the definitive answer to the question - they crossed to help cook the bacon that was on the other side of the road.

Hmmm... I told you we needed to take the feathers off first!

OR...

Now we can finally figure out what 'tastes like chicken' means...

I honestly can't decide.

Hoo boy, this was fun. To skip the miscellaneous stuff, first place would be:

And now, finally, we have the definitive answer to the question - they crossed to help cook the bacon that was on the other side of the road.
And second place would be...

The chickens continued to torture the egg in an effort to get him to admit chickens came first.
I should note that I really couldn't decide which should win, so I asked a forum member (who may identify him/herself if he/she wishes) to pick a number from 1 to 100. Heidi was evens, Dave was odds. (After all, we can't all be odd.) The number was 67.

Honorable mentions:

JosephM
Gary Dillard
DJ Fluck
Michelle 236
Elgin Clock
GateRunner
greencactus3

And instead of a burn award, I'm awarding the Just Plain Wrong award to...

It's an .. because in this situation, h acts as a vowel or is silent (or something along those lines ...)

You have to say it with a strong British accent. Then "an 'onorable" is perfectly appropriate. :)
