Is there any way to find out where the remote kickoff locations are and what their schedules are? Would it be the same every year?
Also, there is a "NASA Play Day" for Chesapeake Regionals. Does anyone know when the date of this would be? Would it be at the same place as last year?

From what I can tell, and heard, the remote kick-off locations are still being hammered out. I believe that VCU one is nearly complete or done, but many others are still in the air. Of course, this is news that's about 1 1/2 months old, so take it for what it's worth.

I believe team 45 has a remote site at IVY tech state college in Kokomo. We had one last year and they said we were located in Iowa. HAHA

What's a NASA Play Day?
The past two years, there has been a play day at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC the Saturday before ship. Mike Wade had built the new full field and had it set up there and it was a play day. It is a very useful thing to be able to go practice on a real field, and even run a few matches. However, if you spend most of the day just trying to get the robot working to get there, and get there an hour before it shuts down, it probally isn't a good use of time. Not that we've done that twice...
That isn't sponsered by NASA, as far as I know, except for Mike Wade bringing his field. I havn't heard anything about a NASA playdate though.
As for times and locations of remote kickoffs, FIRST says (http://www.usfirst.org/robotics/frc_time.htm) that they will be online by December 3rd.

Jeff you have misread that date, as that calendar states, the December 3rd date is when team advisors must have in TIMS where they will be going for kickoff and where/when they will be picking up their kits.
