So...why is it that I downloaded it and Firefox no longer acceps cookies, even though it is set to accept them?

If you go through the Mozilla ftp server (ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/), you can get the nightly builds. The one from last night actually has the label of 1.0, no PR or RC, just 1.0. It's interesting.

When RC2 came out I was tempted to do it, then I saw that 1.0 is coming out on 11-9-04. It's probably not much different, but if you can wait you won't have to install it twice.
