that's an easy one.....you guys are using metal in your robot....pffft come up with harder questions plz
im guessing this is significant because you used to make your robots out of square channel balsa wood?
oops I forgot to put on the new sarcasm (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32118&highlight=sarcasm) tags, well just insert where needed
Hm... looks like what I ended up with last time I dropped an armload of box aluminum.

The first thing it reminded me of was an airplane. Whatever it is, I don't think it is quite complete, unless it is just a small part for a team's animation.
Hey guys, check this out, it's part of our robot's top secret mechanism :)

OH MY GOD IT'S A ... WHAT IS THAT?!
:-P
I for one, would never guess that it's some kind of design to pick up tetras from the base... so I"m thinking some kind of airplane instead.

Maybe some sort of device that hooks extrusion through a tetra to pick it up like Crazy said (or didn't say)?

Ok, I havent replied in a bit...
First off, this has nothing to do with our chassis.
Also, the "Screw" hint pic above may also apply to our bot in some way as well ;)
Lets just say we may get recognition for a unique design (if our team chooses the component in question)...
