I tried to download both the STEP and IGES version of the tranny here. (http://www.ifirobotics.com/kitbot.shtml) Downloads appear to have gone fine, however trying to import either assembly in Solidworks causes the system to slow to a halt, and I have to kill it off to get anything working again. What good are the files if I can't use them?
Any tips you guys have for me would be wonderful.

What version of SolidWorks are you using? The parts are SolidWorks Native and the STEP file was generated in SolidWorks 2004 by me. I just opened it up and it was fine. If you have a slower computer, you might have a problem, because the bearings are downloaded directly from the SKF website and have all the components of the bearing (Balls, shield, etc.). I will upload the SolidWorks native files to the ifi website today. That way you can just have the native files.
