So, to all teams going to Atlanta, where are you all planning on staying? We're booked for Amerisuites. How many of your team are planning on attenting the Championship event?

The Omni was awesome last year, except for one thing that made people a little angry...staying on a middle floor. Trying to get on the elevators sucked because they were always full of people going up and always full of people going down. Parties often got split up who were staying on middle floors. Trying to leave the morning after nationals was also pretty hectic.

We will be staying Embassy Suites. They were really nice and I like that there were two TV's in the rooms so we were able to have a Halo tournament. Of course it will be Halo 2 this year. It is right next to the Omni so I guess its almost the place to be.

[Self guded tour [reccomend reservations] with unlimited free soda samples at the end. Try the the Beverly from Italy!:D We even got a MOE button onto the sodajerk.]

It is official that MOE 365 will be at the omni once again, we were the first team to register after one of our mentors thought it was odd that the reservations were not listed yet and he called the people at FIRST that deal with that stuff and they said that you can get the rooms and he booked all of our rooms. about 2 hours later the e-mail blast from FIRST was sent announcing the opening of the registrations for he hotels.
I just thought that was kinda funny. I cant wait to see all the great teams at the hotel at Nat's again, This time we can fit more then 20 in the hot tub.

Also MOE is staying at the Hampton Inn in Pittsburgh but as of now we are the only team there because we took up all the available room, I think it must be a small hotel.

On the bright side... That's one trip our team probably won't forget!

If you want the omni go for it quick cause the spaces there fill up really really fast, they might be gone by now but there still might be some rooms left. if you cant get them through FIRST try just making the reservations at full price through the hotel.

The Omni and Embassy Suites filled up within a few hours of the reservation system opening. I just checked the website, and there are a few rooms left on some nights. We learned last year to be ready to enter our info into the THS system as soon as the e-mail blast came out.

When I saw all those parchute men getting caught in the elevator mechanisms I thought "This is the last time they'll ever host a FIRST team". ANd it wasn't even FIRST team members throwing them.

Is anyone else noticing that THS is extremely slow with sending the paperwork so that you can actually pay for the rooms? I booked our room like two plus weeks ago, and around a week ago they sent me a form to fill out that wanted to know the names of everyone in the room. Payment is due in less than two weeks now and they still haven't actually sent me a bill for the room.

Team Fusion 364 stayed at the Omni last year, but we ended up scattered out over both towers. None of our rooms were even on the same floor as any of the others. This year we're staying at the Hilton downtown. Not like it really matters. Last year I only got 9 hours of sleep from the time we arrived on Wednesday night until we left on Sunday morning. All I care about this year is whether or not I get a pillow under my head and a blanket to wrap around me during those few precious moments of unconsciousness.

Hi... I'm with team 1610. Teams 79 and 616 are also going to be at the
Wyndham. We're at the Microtel Inn and Suites in NE Atlanta to save money since were such a small team. We were at the same hotel with 616 at the Nasa/VCU regional (they are also only 7 miles from us here in Virginia.)

Haha...Waldos staying at the Best Western...apparently we're walking to the subway and then catching the subway to the Georgia Dome...Nobody else is staying in the hotel with us and can you imagine walking to the subway station after you wake up??

Oh well at least we're flying down...could you imagine a bus full of like 22 or something girls for about 14 or more hours? ha that would be so funny!!

Team 768's staying in the Marriott Courtyard. It's not very far from the dome. :)

We stayed there last year, you'll be surprised how far it is away. It's probably only like 12 blocks, but they are VERY long blocks. It's probably a 10 minute walk to the closest MARTA station. The Courtyard is on the very edge of downtown.
