1418 is going, but has decided not to bring a bot unless we finish before then. We doubt this will occur, and don't want to unveil anything incomplete.
The NBM is awesome, for those of you who haven't been there. Very easy to get to by Metro too.
Wait... When is this exactly?

Team 007 is proud to say that they will be attending the DC Scrimmage..
Why doesn't everyone put the shift they have too? The past year they've done shifts for teams. 007 has the morning shift...how about everyone else?
Team 341, "Miss Daisy" is planning to attend!
Hope to see you there AND at the Chesapeake Regional. (our third year!)
We love it!
Good luck finishing up those Bots!!
Team 384 will be there for the second shift.

Team 1132 RAPTAR Robotics will be there again this year with our (hopefully) completed 2005 bot. I am enthusiastic that we will have a sucessful vision tetra capping auto mode to show off by then, but we'll see...
I'm not sure what shift we're set up for, but probably the afternoon since we have to drive up.
Hope to see everyones great ideas in action!

Mike Wade and the crew are looking for help setting up on Friday, anytime after noon until done. Any local teams available?

I helped them set up last year, it was very interesting to see how the field actually went together. I won't be able to make it Friday to help set up, but will be making my way there from Richmond on Saturday somehow.

1033 (Benedictine & St. Gertrude) is going, and I with them. We have the afternoon time slot (whenever that is). I really encourage everyone to actually go to the museum for the exibits sometime, they are awesome. :)

Hopefully you've let Dee know you aren't coming as there is a waiting list for this event. You don't want to start off the competition season with the organizer of this event (and the VCU regional) on the wrong foot. ;)

I can't wait until Saturday, we are leaving at like 6:30 AM to start our early morning practice rounds. It was alot of fun last year and it looks like it will be the same tomorrow. Hope to see you all there. Until then keep building and keep safe. Oh and HAVE FUN

I was the one who had to make the call, and after doing so, I asked a couple people to email her and let her know of our predicament, especially since there IS a waiting list and another team would gladly jump into our place..
I'm hoping that that has been taken care of and another team has already gotten a call/email to fill our spot.
Anyone else going?

Just got back to school after the DC Scrimmage. I saw one or two in my short time there that I liked but none of them shocked me on the field. 384 shocked me in what they are doing for the autonmous, no camera. I must say that with 2d 06h 30m left as I write this, I am shocked at the status of some teams.

Ummm yea speechless. We are alot further behind then we thought. and hardly anyone can come to the meeting sunday so i guess it all comes down to Monday. For some reason i though this year was going to be different at this point in the game but i was wrong and tradition continues.
But on the flip side it was kinda nice to get out of the shop and spend some time with my teamates. And got to see some familiar faces too :)
We had fun at the scrimmage in DC today. We got a lot of good practice in and learned the strong points and weakness of our robot. As for the autonomous, we have had two people working on the camera for over a month. We are not planning on using it since we still cant get it working properly. We can do everything we want to do in auto using dead reckoning.
