OOoh.. Perdy!!!

Looks like a familiar teqnique for us here at 237, for all years except maybe this one.

Not sure though, it is only week 5 after all. :)

Took 1/3 the weight out. Woo.Well gee, John, if you hadn't gone and designed that ABSOLUTE HOG of a kitbot chassis, maybe you wouldn't have had to swiss cheese your plates! :p:rolleyes: But hey, at least they look like Space Invaders now. That's good for some cool points.

I still see lost of more room for holes...

Yes pretty nice. But seriously I think those bearings for skate boards am I worng? Are not exactly high tolerance like some .0001"

In the relative scheme of things, those bearings look pretty good. They have metal shields, and they are precision. Whether they are from a skateboard or not, they are certainly better than something like what's in a dolly wheel or like you'd find at your LHS.

Enough with the robots! Would that technique work for ME??!! :)

Very nice looking plates JVN, perhaps we'll take a page from your book since we've got some weight reduction to consider as well.
