WOW thats a big driving axle thingy (don't know it's name in english  )

how do you fit it into the size requirements?

We are playing with diffrent angles to get the best mechanical advantage for the size requirments.

We found the best angle yesterday and everything fits in the size requirments. We lifted two tetras and a vision tetra without even putting supports on the arm. I think we will be able to lift 4 tetras after we are done with it. I will post more pictures today.

right now we are about 10 seconds from all the way down to all the way up but this is with the defective van door motor, once we get that situation straightened out we should be in the 5-7 second range for capping goals....along with our increased geared drive train with theoretical max speed @ 13.6 fps i think there will be good times ahead

btw on a side not that lead screw has 5 independent threads on it making it about a 1 rev per inch thread spec (approx, will get specifics tomorrow)

hopefully we can be under 7 seconds. I think we are going to try some new motors and see if we can increase the lift speed. But on the up side we can lift more than three tetras without problem.

hey, just curious, your drive chain looks very loose in the front, is it actually? You may want to fix that if it is. We had a lot of problems with chain falling off last year.

Yea were actually implementing chain tentioners. The ones in the picture are just something we thought of at the moment.

Ahhhhh:ahh:
That actually scares me, seriously.
I don't know, maybe it's just me, but it seems to be a safety hazard lol...
Nonetheless, congratulations!! We haven't even finished ours yet...:yikes:
