BUILD\MAKE ERROR please Help!

When trying to use the Build All tool or the Make tool in the MPLAB IDE i get an error in the output window under the build tab that says
Clean: Deleting intermediary and output files.
Clean: Done.
Couldn't locate build tool. Check tool locations.
BUILD FAILED: Tue Feb 15 20:39:15 2005
I have reinstalled MPLAB i now have the newest vversion freshly installed still no change. If anyone has any idea as to whats wrong please help.

Have you gotten the most recent version of the compiler and made sure that it had the proper options set when installing it? There were a bunch of choices about making it your default compiler and if you did not check them all off then MPLAB may not be able to find the compiler at all.

I'm going to uninstall all my mplab/mpasm and download the newest versions...again. Will it matter which I install first?

Never mind had to select diffrent language tool.
that fixed it
